M1-1P0, is designed to adopt hybrid cables, embedded copper wires for DDC/HDCP interconnection and fibers for graphic data together in a jacket so that it offers the benefits of sturdy metallic and compact size connectors. For the installation with ease, +5V DC power from the graphic card is utilized to drive both of its transmitting and receiving modules so that it doesn't require an external AC/DC power adaptor. For just in case, however, an external power adaptor is optional.
The copper wire connection extends the distance limit up to 100m. For the disconnection due to exceeding the limitation, we customize to program the EDID (Extended Display Interface Data) parameters in an EEPROM inside of the transmitting module to specify user displays complied with VESA. It enables graphic cards to virtually communicate with displays at start-up, so which Opticis calls as vDDC (virtual DDC).
